Teacher activist Masoud Farhikhteh denied contact at Karaj prison
Masoud Farhikhteh, a teacher activist and board member of the Islamshahr Teachers' Union, has been deprived of all telephone contact and family visits for 53 days while serving his sentence at the Karaj Central Penitentiary.
Reports indicate that Farhikhteh is being held in a separate room from other inmates as a punitive measure following his release of statements regarding prisoner demands. This follows a previous 20-day period spent in solitary confinement.
Farhikhteh faces new legal challenges, including charges of propaganda against the regime. His previous sentences included prison time, travel bans, and restrictions on social group memberships and movement across several Iranian provinces, including Alborz, Tehran, Qazvin, Lorestan, and Kurdistan.
