Hoang Thi Hien receives 2 billion VND in donations after saving student

Nearly 9,000 individuals and organizations have donated over 2 billion VND to support Hoang Thi Hien, a preschool teacher in Nghe An province, following a severe accident.

On August 28, Ms. Hien heroically rushed to save a 2-year-old student from an oncoming truck. While the child was rescued safely, the teacher sustained critical injuries to both legs. After being treated in Nghe An, she was transferred to Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi, where doctors were forced to amputate her right leg due to necrosis.

Following an appeal by the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, the community responded rapidly, raising the funds within just three days. Officials from Nghe An visited Ms. Hien at the hospital to deliver the support and offer encouragement for her ongoing recovery and treatment of her remaining leg.
