Team Boyacá es para Vivirla faces injury and mixed results

Team Boyacá es para Vivirla experienced a day of mixed results during the first stage of a 187-kilometer national cycling competition. The team saw significant individual performances, including Juan Diego Estupiñán, who led a prolonged breakaway and secured points in two intermediate sprints and a third-category mountain prize. Jefferson Olivares also performed well, finishing 30th with the winner's time and placing fifth in the U-23 general classification.

However, the team suffered a setback when Anderson Castro crashed around kilometer 100. The accident resulted in a fractured clavicle, forcing his immediate withdrawal from the race. In response, team directors have adjusted their collective strategies to protect the remaining leaders and focus on upcoming stages.
