Armenian apricots to be shipped to Poland in late June

Armenian officials are preparing to export apricots to Poland after a bilateral business forum in Yerevan. Arthur Levandovsky, founder and CEO of the Polish HAYWAY GROUP, said negotiations are underway and that 20 trucks loaded with Armenian apricots are expected to depart for Poland at the end of June. The move follows recent Russian restrictions on Armenian fruit imports, prompting Armenia to seek new markets in the EU. In parallel, the European Union has announced a €50 million support package for Armenia that includes measures to broaden export opportunities for Armenian products.

The export plan hinges on obtaining the necessary phytosanitary certificates to satisfy Polish import requirements, signaling a strategic effort by Armenia to diversify its external economic ties.
