Spain cultural institutions announce diverse autumn and winter programming
Various Spanish cities and cultural institutions have announced their upcoming autumn and winter programming, featuring a wide array of theatre, music, and community activities.
In Alicante, the Teatro Principal is launching a season of 57 shows, while the 'Cultura en Barrios' program will host 70 activities across 16 locations to celebrate its tenth anniversary. Additionally, the Aula Abierta program will offer 2,200 places for 101 courses.
Cuenca's Teatro Auditorio José Luis Perales has unveiled a season headlined by comedians such as Edu Soto, Ernesto Sevilla, and Julián López, alongside musical tributes and classical theatre. Similarly, the Real Teatro de las Cortes de San Fernando in La Isla will host artists including Toni Acosta and the band Teenage Fanclub.
Tarragona is launching a season with over 70 proposals distributed between the Teatre Tarragona, civic centers, and public spaces. In Cáceres, the Plaza de Toros hosted the musical 'Sonrisas y Lágrimas' as part of the Gran Teatro's centenary celebrations. Other regional highlights include the 25th anniversary gala for 'Catalunya Aixeca el Teló' at the Liceu and the 15th anniversary of the 'Así canta Jerez' Christmas show.
