Teatro Verdi in Pordenone launches 2026‑27 season during Italy's Capital of Culture year

The Teatro Verdi in Pordenone presented its 2026‑27 program, covering October 2026 to June 2027, coinciding with the city’s designation as Italy’s Capital of Culture. More than fifty events will span prose, music, dance and opera, featuring international and Italian artists such as composer Giovanni Sollima, violinist Leonidas Kavakos, saxophonist Branford Marsalis, conductor Tarmo Peltokoski, and orchestras including the 100 Cellos project and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. The season emphasizes cross‑cultural collaborations, with programmes that pair flamenco and Indian classical music, an Irish night of traditional music, and performances by the NDR BigBand and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.

Ticket sales begin online on 23 July, and the lineup aims to attract audiences beyond the regional level, reinforcing Pordenone’s cultural prominence during its Capital of Culture year.
