Techcombank and Taishin Bank win AI innovation awards in Asia

Vietnam’s Techcombank received The Asian Banker’s AI Excellence Award 2026 for the best AI technical initiative in the Asia‑Pacific region. The bank was praised for its Agentic Platform, which coordinates specialised AI agents across the software development lifecycle, cutting development time by about 15% and enhancing internal collaboration.

Taiwan’s Taishin Bank earned the Bronze award for Best Technology Innovation at the 2026 FCA Innovation Business Awards for its AI‑driven corporate credit assessment platform. The system acts as a “smart assistant,” improving the speed and accuracy of credit risk analysis while preserving final decision authority with human staff, demonstrating a balance of efficiency and risk control.

Both recognitions underscore the growing adoption of artificial intelligence in Asian banking, aiming to boost operational efficiency, risk management and customer service.
