Technics introduces SL-1210MKX professional DJ turntable

Technics has announced the SL-1210MKX, a new professional direct-drive DJ turntable positioned above the existing SL-1210MK7. Developed in collaboration with DJs and sound engineers, the model is specifically designed for high-demand environments such as clubs, festivals, and live performances.

Key technical enhancements include a heavier, optimally balanced chassis and newly designed isolation feet to increase vibration resistance and reduce acoustic feedback in bass-heavy settings. The turntable features a coreless direct-drive motor with adjustable start-up torque and brake speed, alongside 78 rpm playback and reverse functionality.

For improved tempo control, the SL-1210MKX introduces multiple pitch ranges, including a dedicated ±4% range for fine beatmatching and a ±50% range for creative mixing. The product is expected to be available starting in January 2027.
