Tecno launches Spark 50 Pro smartphone with IP68/69 protection, 50MP camera and 6000 mAh battery

Tecno unveiled its Spark 50 Pro on 16 June, positioning it as a durable mid‑range phone. The handset offers two battery options – a 5 600 mAh dual‑cell pack and a 6 000 mAh single‑cell pack – both supporting 60 W fast charging and up to 1 900 charge cycles with over 80 % capacity retained after six years. It is water‑ and dust‑resistant to IP68 and IP69 standards.

Key hardware includes a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate processor, up to 8 GB RAM (virtual memory up to 24 GB), a 6.78‑inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 600 rear camera (1/1.95 in sensor, f/1.8) plus an 8 MP front sensor. The phone runs Android 16 with Tecno’s HiOS 16 UI and AI suite (Ella AI Agent, AI Writing, AI Health, AI Noise Cancellation). Additional features are DTS stereo speakers, 4.5G/4G carrier aggregation, and FreeLink 2.0 off‑grid communication.

The Spark 50 Pro is slated for launch in several emerging markets, including India, Pakistan, Romania and Turkey, where Tecno aims to strengthen its presence with a budget‑friendly, feature‑rich device.
