Tecno’s Camon 50 Ultra 5G entered the market on July 21 at ₹39,999, offering a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate SoC, a 144 Hz AMOLED and robust durability. Leaked listings suggested a Vivo S2 launch in early August 2026, priced below ₹50,000, with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 6.59‑inch 1.5 K OLED display, 7,000 mAh battery, 80 W charging and a triple‑camera array.

A promotional poster and leaked images later confirmed the Vivo S2 will launch in India on August 6, with sales starting August 11. The handset will be available in Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, Silk White and also black and rose‑gold finishes, in 8 GB + 128 GB or 8 GB + 256 GB configurations, priced between ₹38,000 and ₹43,000. Specifications match earlier leaks, adding an optional MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset and an in‑display fingerprint sensor, marking Vivo’s return to the S series after a gap since the S1 in 2019. Vivo also hinted at further models for India, including the T5, V80, X Fold 6 and others, broadening its lineup across budget to flagship tiers.
