Teddy Fanani and Billy Irzano reach peaceful settlement in Padang dispute

A dispute involving West Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumbar) Director of General Criminal Investigation, Commissioner Teddy Fanani, and a citizen named Billy Irzano has been resolved through a peaceful settlement. The incident, which reportedly involved an altercation and alleged assault in Padang, led Billy's family to file reports with the police service center (SPKT) and the Professional and Security Division (Propam).

Following a meeting at a restaurant in Padang, Teddy Fanani issued a formal apology to Billy and his family, acknowledging his mistakes. Billy's mother, Susi Suzzana, stated that the family decided to forgive the officer to prevent the matter from dragging on and to ensure Billy could return to work without further conflict. The family clarified they are not seeking financial compensation and denied receiving any intimidation during the process. As part of the agreement, the legal reports filed against the officer are scheduled to be withdrawn.
