Teen deaths in Croatia and Slovakia after electric accidents
A 14‑year‑old boy in Dubrovnik, Croatia, died after losing control of an electric scooter and striking his head on the road. Police reported that the youth was not wearing a helmet and suffered critical head injuries before dying at the University Clinical Hospital in Mostar.
In Bratislava, Slovakia, a 14‑year‑old rugby player also died following an electric shock while climbing a metal pole at a sports venue. Police said the boy received a strong electric current at shoulder height, fell, and sustained severe burns and injuries that could not be saved despite intensive medical effort.
