Minas Gerais police investigate teen rape case and arrest motorcyclist for reckless riding

Police in Minas Gerais are investigating a reported gang rape of a teenage girl at a party in Contagem. The victim said she was drugged, lost consciousness and woke up naked, with two other teenagers on top of her. One friend later admitted involvement via text message. The Civil Police confirmed the case is under investigation, noting the investigation is confidential.

In a separate incident in the district of Ponte Vila, Formiga, an 18‑year‑old was arrested after performing dangerous motorbike stunts known locally as “grau” without a helmet or a licence. The rider resisted police, and his 40‑year‑old father and a 14‑year‑old were also detained for assisting. Authorities seized the motorcycle and cited the risk to residents, especially children and the elderly.
