Tehran court sentences two murder suspects to death, frees one inmate

Iran's Tehran criminal court handed down death sentences to two men convicted of murder in separate cases. In one case, a defendant was sentenced to execution for killing a man during a dispute, while in another, a suspect received a death penalty for a rape‑related homicide. The court also confirmed an earlier death‑row verdict for a third defendant.

Separately, a prisoner in Razavi Khorasan province who had previously been sentenced to death for murder was released after his family withdrew the request for execution, securing his freedom.
