Tehran firefighters rescue 17 from residential building fire

A fire broke out in a three-story residential building located on Shamran No Street near Abuzar Square in Tehran. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Firefighters from two stations responded to the scene, where they found a unit on the second floor completely engulfed in flames and heavy smoke affecting the upper floors. During the operation, firefighters rescued a father and son from the burning unit; both sustained burns to their faces and hands and were treated by emergency services.

In total, 17 residents were rescued from the building, including 9 women and 6 men who were trapped by smoke. While the fire spread to a portion of an adjacent unit, emergency crews were able to prevent the flames from consuming the neighboring property. No fatalities were reported.
