Tehran man arrested for killing 70-year-old wife

An elderly man has been arrested in Tehran after confessing to the murder of his 70-year-old wife in the Majidieh neighborhood. The suspect turned himself in at the Majidieh Police Station, stating that he killed his spouse by strangulation.

According to initial investigations by the Tehran Criminal Court and the 10th Police Investigation Department, the motive was reportedly linked to a dispute over the victim being seen talking to another man in the street. Following the confession, authorities discovered the victim's body in their home. The body has been transferred to forensic medicine for examination, and the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
