Tehran man surrenders after fatal stabbing of romantic rival
A 25-year-old man has surrendered to police in southern Tehran after killing a man he identified as a romantic rival. The incident occurred on August 14, when police responded to reports of a physical altercation in a local street.
The victim, who had sustained knife wounds, was transported to a hospital but later died from the severity of his injuries. Following the incident, the suspect remained at large until two days later, when he turned himself in to authorities, citing feelings of guilt. The suspect, who works in the food trade, stated that the motive stemmed from a dispute regarding a woman he intended to marry.
