Tehran police arrest suspects in 30 billion toman kidnapping

Police in Tehran have arrested suspects involved in the kidnapping of a young businessman for extortion. The incident began on August 11 near Pounak Square, where two individuals posing as security officers broke into the victim's home, restrained him, and abducted him in a Dena vehicle.

The victim was held captive for approximately 10 days in Golestan Town, where he was kept blindfolded and tied to a chair. During this period, the kidnappers contacted the victim's family demanding 30 billion Iranian tomans in cash for his release.

Investigations revealed that the two primary suspects were hired by a third individual who had prior financial dealings with the businessman. The mastermind targeted the victim after identifying his significant financial status. Following a report from the family, police tracked the suspects to their hideout, leading to their arrest and the safe release of the businessman.
