Tehran police arrest woman for theft of imitation jewelry
Police in Tehran's Yaftabad neighborhood have arrested a 56-year-old woman accused of stealing jewelry from an acquaintance. The suspect confessed to taking the items during two separate visits to the victim's home.
While the complainant initially valued the stolen goods at 17 billion rials, police investigations revealed the items were imitation jewelry. Authorities confirmed that the 17 pieces—consisting of bracelets, chains, and pendants weighing a total of 170 grams—were fake and contained no gold. The suspect has been referred to judicial authorities for further proceedings.
