Tehran police dismantle family car theft ring
Police in Tehran have dismantled a family-based theft ring responsible for stealing vehicle parts and contents. The group was identified during a patrol in the Shahr-e Ziba area when officers observed individuals attempting to steal tires from a Peugeot 207.
Although the suspects initially fled the scene in a Quik vehicle, law enforcement conducted a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of three relatives at their hideout. During the raid, police recovered several stolen items, including three audio systems, rims, and tires.
Upon interrogation, the three suspects confessed to being involved in 30 previous thefts of vehicle accessories and contents. They have been handed over to detectives for further investigation into additional potential crimes.
