Tehran Stock Exchange lifts index by up to 56,000 points in recent sessions
The Tehran Stock Exchange’s total index rose by about 56,000 points (approximately 1.1%) at the close of Tuesday trading, marking a second consecutive day of gains. Around 584 listed securities ended the session in positive territory and the value of ordinary share transactions exceeded 25,000 billion rials, one of the highest levels in recent weeks. Despite the bullish price movement, net outflows of real‑money investors persisted, indicating continued caution among domestic participants. Gold fund buy orders also reached 442 billion rials during the session.
On the preceding Monday, the index increased by roughly 49,700 points (0.99%) to stand at 5,052,000 units, with the weighted index gaining 14,864 points (1.07%). Transaction volume rose to 29,737 billion rials, and the net outflow of real‑money investors narrowed sharply to 82 billion rials by the session’s end, reflecting an easing of selling pressure.
