Tehran Stock Exchange sees index rebound amid liquidity shifts

The Tehran Stock Exchange experienced significant volatility and a notable recovery following a previous decline. On one trading day, the market saw a surge in demand, with the number of buy queues increasing from 114 to 252, while sell queues decreased. Despite a period of heavy selling pressure that pushed many symbols into negative territory, the market closed with a 53 percent majority of green stocks. However, retail investors withdrew approximately 6.3 trillion tomans in liquidity from the equity market, even as gold funds saw a sixth consecutive day of inflows from retail capital.

In a subsequent trading session, the market showed a strong rebound. The total stock index rose by 121,042 units, returning to the 7,274,000 level. The equal-weighted index also climbed by 31,388 units to reach 1,961,000. Trading value exceeded 30 trillion tomans across 869,510 transactions. Key influential symbols included Faml, Shepna, Fars, Taban, Foolad, Tapico, and Shastha. The Farabourse market also trended upward, rising by over 1,000 units to reach 58,756.
