Tehran weather forecast predicts temperature drop and strong winds
Tehran is expected to experience a significant drop in temperature and increasingly strong winds through Monday. Meteorological officials report that an unstable weather system will move into northern regions, bringing increased cloud cover, fog, and occasional scattered rain, thunderstorms, and temporary strong gusts, particularly in the northern heights such as Firoozkuh.
Wind speeds are forecasted to rise gradually throughout the week, peaking on Wednesday with maximum speeds reaching approximately 13 meters per second. A yellow weather warning has been issued for the province from Tuesday afternoon through Friday. Residents are advised to be cautious of strong to very strong winds in western, southern, and central areas, as well as in mountainous regions.
Potential hazards include falling objects from heights, damage to temporary structures like scaffolding and advertising signs, and reduced visibility due to dust storms and decreased air quality, especially in the southern and western parts of the province.
