Tejashwi Yadav criticizes Bihar government over leaks and investments
Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, has criticized the state government on two major fronts: law and order and industrial investment claims.
Regarding governance, Yadav alleged that Bihar is becoming a “capital of exam paper leaks,” citing irregularities in Class 10 and 12 competitive exams. He further accused the administration of using excessive force against students, specifically mentioning the alleged use of an AK-47 rifle by police during a protest in Siwan. In response, the Mahagathbandhan alliance plans to march to the Lok Bhavan in Patna on August 19 to submit a memorandum to the governor.
On the economic front, Yadav challenged the credibility of recent industrial investment announcements. He questioned the status of previous MoUs worth over Rs 2 lakh crore and raised concerns regarding a proposed Rs 22,500 crore nuclear sector investment. Yadav pointed out that the company involved was incorporated in February 2026 with a total capital of only Rs 11 lakh, questioning how such an entity could fulfill such large-scale investment commitments.
