Tekirdağ municipality completes road upgrades on three Malkara streets
The Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality finished a series of road‑construction projects in the Malkara district, renovating Kurtuluş, Pınar and Demirciler streets. The works covered a total of 4,500 metres of roadway, with each lane widened to about nine metres.
Key works included the application of 2,160 tonnes of asphalt and 3,000 tonnes of stone fill on Demirciler Street, 1,730 tonnes of asphalt plus 4,000 tonnes of stone fill on Pınar Street, and 4,700 tonnes of asphalt on Kurtuluş Street. The upgrades added new pavement and reinforced underlying infrastructure, improving both safety and riding comfort for local traffic.
The municipality said the new surfaces provide a safer, more continuous and comfortable travel experience for residents, and it will continue similar road‑maintenance programmes across the province.
