Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau arrests two officials for bribery

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested two government officials in separate bribery cases within the state.

In Narayanpet, Mahabubnagar district, Sub-Registrar Grade-II L. Venkat Swamy and private employee Kammari Nagesh were caught for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 90,000. The officer had reportedly already accepted Rs 50,000 through Nagesh from a complainant seeking home registration services. Both individuals were sent to judicial remand.

In a separate incident in Sangareddy, District Intermediate Education Officer (DIEO) Ramavath Govind Ram was arrested for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The official allegedly requested the payment to conduct an inspection and submit a report regarding the extension of provisional affiliation for Vikas Vocational Junior College.
