Telangana BJP chief begins hunger strike over student fee arrears

Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao has initiated a 48-hour hunger strike to protest the state government's failure to release approximately Rs 15,000 crore in pending fee reimbursement dues.

Ramchander Rao alleged that the Congress-led government's negligence has jeopardized the futures of 40 lakh students. He claimed that educational institutions are withholding student certificates due to the unpaid dues, preventing many from pursuing higher education or securing employment.

The BJP leader challenged Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, to visit Telangana and assist in securing the release of these funds through the Congress government.
