Telangana BRS Leaders Face BJP Legal Threats and Defend Kaleshwaram Irrigation Scheme

Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar warned senior BRS leaders in Karimnagar that legal notices would be issued if they continued to allege corruption by the BJP. He said the accusations were false and urged the mayor and deputy mayor to act against the BRS officials.

At the same time, senior BRS figures, including former MP B Vinod Kumar, defended the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme, calling it a landmark project of the K Chandrashekar Rao government. They criticised Congress ministers for misunderstanding the scheme’s engineering, accused the opposition of causing drought by mismanaging pump operations, and urged regular running of the pumps to secure water supplies across north Telangana.
