Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced a new education policy designed to support the state’s ‘Rising 2047’ goals and its objective of reaching a USD 1 trillion economy. Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, Reddy emphasized that the reforms aim to prepare Gen Z, Gen Alpha, and Gen Beta for future global competition and changing economic demands.

To implement these changes, the government has established a special Education Commission and appointed the Keshava Rao Committee. This committee is tasked with developing new guidelines for the state that align with the National Education Policy. Reddy noted that the 2024 CPECK survey identified a lack of education as a primary driver of social backwardness, asserting that educational reform is essential for improving social and economic standing.
