Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Forms Activist Recognition Committee

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has officially constituted the Telangana Movement Activists Recognition Committee, chaired by Keshav Rao. The committee held its inaugural meeting in Hyderabad, attended by ministers, MLCs and former movement leaders, to design criteria for identifying and honoring individuals who participated in the Telangana statehood struggle.

Four categories of recognition were proposed: those who died, those injured, those imprisoned or legally involved, and grassroots field workers. The committee will collect proposals from civil‑society groups, artist and employee unions, caste associations and district‑level movement organisations, and will set up an office near Amaraveerulu Jyothi. It emphasized that the selection process will be conducted beyond partisan politics and will recommend appropriate honours and facilities for eligible activists.
