Overview

Later in July, at an All‑India Congress Committee meeting in Delhi, party leaders highlighted the Mahalakshmi free‑bus scheme, the Gruha Jyothi free‑power scheme, monthly free‑rice distribution to 3.39 crore people and the Indiramma housing programme that has built over 7 lakh homes.
On 28 July Reddy sought allocation of 1.156 million houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana‑Gramin scheme, noting a state survey that many rural families remained unserved. He also requested ten new livelihood and land‑development activities under the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission to offset El Niño‑related drought, targeting Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, small and marginal farmers and agricultural labourers. Corporate‑social‑responsibility funds of roughly Rs 22 crore from Aurobindo Pharma and Divi’s Laboratories were cited for a school‑breakfast programme.
