Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Issues Directives on Monsoon Traffic and Agricultural Technology
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy warned officials that strict action would follow if traffic disruptions recur during heavy monsoon rains in Hyderabad. He ordered police, municipal and civic staff to remain on the roads, directed the Chief Secretary and DGP to investigate the causes, and instructed the electricity department to restore power quickly and deploy mobile transformers. He also called for the immediate filling of vacancies in the traffic department and for all relevant officials to prepare action plans based on water‑logging and accident data.
In a separate meeting, Reddy directed the state agriculture department to adopt technology, including artificial intelligence, across its functions. He tasked the state agriculture university to act as the nodal agency, formed a committee of senior officials, and mandated comprehensive data collection on seed supply, cultivation stages, yields and procurement. The CM announced subsidies for fine‑rice seeds, urged the Centre for greater urea allocation from the Ramagundam plant, and proposed an app‑based system for fertilizer booking to improve transparency and speed.
