Telangana CM Revanth Reddy launches agriculture panel, reviews bullet train corridors

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy ordered officials to draft a comprehensive action plan covering the entire agricultural cycle, from seed distribution to crop procurement. He announced a high‑level committee, led by the agriculture secretary, to monitor seed distribution, sowing, farmer registration, crop‑data collection, yield estimation and procurement, and to promote modern technology such as AI‑based systems and an app‑based fertilizer‑booking platform. Revenue and police staff will be posted at Rythu Vedikas, where seven paddy seed varieties will be sold at subsidised rates.

In a separate meeting the CM reviewed proposals for high‑speed rail corridors linking Hyderabad with Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. He urged the establishment of a station near Ananthagiri on the Hyderabad‑Pune line, another at Bharat Future City on the Hyderabad‑Bengaluru line, and additional stations near tourist sites. He also directed that the design of the Warangal airport reflect the Kakatiya heritage, including a heritage island and monumental statues. The bullet‑train projects feature new tunnel‑hood technology on the Mumbai‑Ahmedabad corridor to manage pressure waves in mountain tunnels.
