Telangana CM Revanth Reddy launches Rs 1.5 trillion development projects and Musi River Phase‑2 in Hyderabad

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid foundation stones for development projects in Medchal‑Malkajgiri district valued at roughly Rs 1,511‑1,600 crore. The works include a Rs 98 crore Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation office building, alternative roads costing Rs 960 crore, a six‑lane flyover at TKR College Junction (Rs 416 crore), a 100‑bed district hospital (Rs 37.5 crore), and the launch of the CURE‑1 app to streamline public services.

Reddy directed that Phase‑2 of the Musi River rejuvenation, covering the 55‑km stretch from Nagole to Gaurelli, commence within 100 days. He said the project will clean the polluted river, create employment for youth and boost tourism, while also addressing health concerns in Nalgonda district caused by river pollution.

The chief minister assured that no poor families would be displaced without compensation, promising housing and education for any affected residents. He also publicly criticized Union Minister G Kishan Reddy for allegedly stalling the Hyderabad Metro Rail extensions, the Musi project, the Regional Ring Road and state paddy procurement, warning of a response if the centre does not act on the latter.
