Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Voter Registration Rumors Debunked
The District Election Officer (DEO) of Nagarkurnool district in Telangana issued an official clarification that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is not registered as a voter in the Achampet Assembly Constituency or anywhere else in the district. The DEO stated there is no case of dual or double voting involving the chief minister and that, because no enrolment exists, the issue of printing and distributing enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process does not arise.
Earlier social‑media claims had suggested the chief minister’s name appeared on two electoral rolls – in Kodangal (Mahabubnagar parliamentary constituency) and Achampet (Nagarkurnool parliamentary constituency) – with the same EPIC number, prompting allegations of dual voter entry. Election officials labelled this a roll‑anomaly and said it would be corrected through the ongoing SIR exercise. The chief minister’s family reportedly wishes to retain the Kodangal entry and delete the Achampet entry. The DEO urged citizens not to spread unverified rumors.
The clarification aims to dispel misinformation circulating online about the chief minister’s voter status.
