Telangana CM Revanth Reddy vows to make 1 crore women millionaires

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced a pledge to turn one crore (10 million) women in the state into millionaires. Speaking to women’s self‑help groups, he handed over 553 buses to the groups and reaffirmed the government’s free‑bus travel scheme for women, saying it helps them pursue higher education. Reddy also highlighted zero‑interest loans, projects that involve women in stitching school uniforms, operating petrol bunks, and setting up solar power plants to compete with major corporates. He criticized the opposition and the previous BRS government for neglecting women’s representation and promised that women will occupy 33 % of legislative seats in the future. The initiative includes setting up “Indira Mahila Shakti” buildings and marketing self‑help‑group products on platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart.
