Telangana Congress government accused of corruption and broken promises

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) alleged that senior ministers in the Congress‑led Telangana government are involved in corruption, illegal mining, land‑grabbing and misuse of power. He singled out Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, cited past Enforcement Directorate raids and questioned why seized funds have not been explained. KTR also criticized the administration’s housing programme, the re‑introduction of land tax and alleged intimidation of residents.

Former minister V. Srinivas Goud echoed similar criticism, saying the Congress government is filing fabricated cases against BRS leaders while neglecting its "six guarantees" such as Rythu Bandhu support, loan waivers and pension hikes. Goud warned of a deteriorating law‑and‑order situation, including rising crimes against women, and urged the government to focus on public welfare instead of political vendettas. Both leaders called for a return of K. Chandra Shekhar Rao’s leadership in the next election.
