Telangana EAGLE Force seizes major drug shipments in two separate raids

The Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE Force) of Telangana carried out two high‑profile anti‑narcotics operations. In Medchal‑Malkajgiri district, officers arrested six suspects and seized 1.189 kg of the psychotropic drug alprazolam, valued at about ₹25 lakh, along with ₹5.45 lakh in cash, mobile phones and a vehicle. The raid targeted a scheme that supplied alprazolam to toddy vendors to increase intoxication.

In a second operation in Khammam district, the force intercepted an interstate ganja trafficking network that had moved 400 kg of dry cannabis from Odisha to Karnataka. The seizure was worth roughly ₹2 crore and three alleged traffickers were detained, while additional vehicles and a motorcycle were confiscated. Both actions are part of ongoing investigations into organized drug distribution in the state.
