Telangana government updates Indiramma housing scheme rules and allotments

The Telangana government has introduced a one-time relaxation of rules for beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme. Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that eligible houses that have already reached the basement or upper construction stages will be allowed to receive clearance in a single step. The state will cover the additional financial costs resulting from this decision, though the relaxation will not apply to future L3 grants.

Additionally, the government has decided to cancel sanctioned Indiramma houses where construction has not yet commenced. These allocations will be redistributed to other eligible beneficiaries.

In a separate development regarding the Indiramma LIG Housing Towers scheme, the Telangana Housing Board is set to issue allotment letters to beneficiaries via SMS, WhatsApp, and the official website. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for a tower project in Raidurg. This specific project involves the construction of 480 flats on 2.85 acres of land. Under this scheme, beneficiaries are required to pay 6 lakhs, while the government provides a 5 lakh subsidy and covers the total cost of the land.
