Telangana High Court rejects postponement of TGPSC AEE exams

The Telangana High Court has declined a petition to postpone the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) examinations, which are scheduled for November 6 and 7, 2026.

The petitioners, including U. Satish and six others, argued that the schedule clashes with the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Junior Engineer examinations held between November 2 and 6. They noted that candidates assigned to centers in cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Thane, and Nanded would struggle to return to Telangana within 24 hours.

Representing the TGPSC, counsel P. S. Rajasekhar opposed the postponement, noting that over 40,000 candidates are expected to sit for the AEE exams. The Commission stated it would consider individual representations from affected candidates to explore arrangements, such as facilitating appearances at respective district headquarters, to allow them to attend both examinations.
