TGPSC AEE Civil examination scheduling conflict

A scheduling conflict emerged between the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Civil examination, set for November 6 and 7, 2026, and the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Junior Engineer examination, held from November 2 to 6.

In response to the clash, TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham held discussions with the SSC Chairman. The TGPSC announced it would attempt to accommodate eligible applicants on November 7 where feasible. Candidates with conflicting SSC JE dates were instructed to submit documentation by October 30 to request arrangements.

Following these developments, the Telangana High Court rejected a petition seeking to postpone the TGPSC AEE examinations. Petitioners argued that candidates assigned to distant centers would be unable to return to Telangana within 24 hours. The TGPSC opposed the postponement, noting that over 40,000 candidates are expected to participate, and maintained it would continue to consider individual representations to facilitate appearances at district headquarters.
