Telangana Housing Board begins lottery for 7,340 Indiramma flats

The Telangana Housing Board has commenced the beneficiary selection process for 7,340 Indiramma Housing flats in Hyderabad’s Core Urban Region (CURE). The lottery draws, scheduled from August 28 to 31, follow a massive response of approximately 60,720 applications for the available units.

The housing scheme provides 528 sq ft flats, with the government offering a ₹5 lakh subsidy while beneficiaries contribute ₹6 lakh in installments. The selection process includes specific reservations for SC, ST, BC, persons with disabilities, government outsourcing employees, Class IV employees, and sanitation workers.

Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy emphasized that the selection is being conducted with full transparency, utilizing live broadcasts on social media to oversee the draws. The process involves selecting 600 beneficiaries per constituency via lucky draw, followed by field-level verification to ensure only eligible individuals receive allotments. Officials have warned applicants to avoid middlemen and to use official Telangana Housing Board or MeeSeva systems to check their status.
