Telangana Opposition Blames KTR Over Unfulfilled Job Promises
Congress advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir Ali charged Telangana Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) with misleading unemployed youth, citing the BRS government's failure to provide a job to every family and to implement the promised ₹3,016 monthly unemployment allowance. He also highlighted a TSPSC exam paper leak he said “destroyed the credibility of the recruitment system.”
IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu echoed the criticism, asserting that the BRS had not conducted any Group‑I recruitment since 2011, leaving many aspirants waiting a decade for appointments. He noted that the current Congress government had filled about 600 Group‑I posts and was pursuing its promise to fill two lakh vacancies, urging KTR to apologise for provoking youth.
Both opposition figures argued that the BRS lacks moral authority to comment on the Congress government's employment record, emphasizing ongoing discontent among job‑seeking youth in the state.
