Telangana police arrest three for alleged murder of man via poisoned alcohol

Police in the Jayashankar Bhupalpally district of Telangana have arrested three individuals, including a woman, for the alleged murder of her husband, Pendela Sampat.

Authorities state that the victim, a 32-year-old plumber, was killed after being given alcohol laced with pesticide. The suspects, identified as Pendela Sumlata (the victim's wife), Ummalla Srikanth, and Poludasari Tarun, allegedly conspired to commit the crime due to a suspected extramarital affair between Sumlata and Srikanth.

Investigators believe the suspects attempted to stage the murder as a suicide by spreading pesticide on the victim's clothes and floor. The police have seized mobile phones and a motorcycle used during the incident as part of the ongoing investigation.
