Telecel Group invests in digital skills for Ghanaian students
Telecel Group is expanding its support for the Skills for School Programme, an initiative designed to enhance digital and soft skills among young learners in Ghana. Delivered by King's Trust International in partnership with Junior Achievement Ghana, the programme has supported over 5,000 students aged 11 to 17 since its inception in 2020.
Operating across 31 schools in the Greater Accra Region, the programme targets youth who may be disengaged from learning or facing challenges with communication and self-management. Telecel Group’s funding has introduced a digital learning component, facilitating the establishment of computer laboratories in seven schools across the Accra Metropolitan, Krowor, and Kpone Katamanso municipalities. Additionally, the partnership has enabled the rollout of a new digital safety module to all participating schools.
