Digital skills development initiatives in Ghana

Overview

Efforts to enhance digital literacy and technical skills in Ghana have expanded through both private sector investment and government-led initiatives.

Telecel Group has increased funding for the Skills for School Programme, a partnership with King’s Trust International and Junior Achievement Ghana. This five-day program targets 100 teenage girls from the Volta and Upper West Regions, providing training in coding, leadership, and artificial intelligence to address the underrepresentation of women in technical fields such as cybersecurity and data science.
