Teledyne FLIR Marine launches M364C-USV camera for autonomous vessels
Teledyne FLIR Marine, a division of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, has introduced the M364C-USV, a multispectral maritime camera system specifically designed for autonomous and uncrewed surface vessels. The system combines thermal and visible imaging to provide reliable visibility in challenging marine conditions, including haze, glare, and low visibility.
The camera features a reinforced pan-and-tilt system designed for continuous-duty operations during extended missions. It is engineered to integrate with autonomy, remote-control, and mission-management systems, supporting advanced analytics, AI-enabled workflows, and machine-vision applications. The device provides aligned video and telemetry data to assist with navigation, obstacle avoidance, surveillance, and environmental monitoring.
Michelle Hildyard, General Manager of Teledyne FLIR Marine, stated that autonomous vessels require reliable sensing technologies to operate safely in dynamic maritime environments. The M364C-USV aims to provide the real-time situational awareness necessary for effective decision-making and mission success.
