Teledyne LeCroy launches USB4 v2.0/Thunderbolt 5 PAM3 exerciser for Voyager M480x

Teledyne LeCroy announced the availability of a software option for its Voyager M480x USB/Thunderbolt protocol analyzer. The option, called the USB4 v2.0/Thunderbolt 5 PAM3 Exerciser, supports Gen 4 link rates of up to 80 Gbps symmetric and 120 Gbps asymmetric bandwidth introduced by the USB4 Version 2.0 specification.

The exerciser provides script‑based traffic generation, link‑training control, device enumeration, error injection and recovery, enabling developers to validate functionality, interoperability and timing margins of future USB4 and Thunderbolt 5 designs. It works with the USB‑IF Command Verifier for compliance testing and is backward compatible with Gen 3 test scripts. The software is now shipping and requires the Voyager’s USB Protocol Suite v10.40 or later.
