TV Globo's 'Por Você' sees strong debut ratings amid intense plot developments

The TV Globo telenovela ‘Por Você’ has completed its first week with strong viewership ratings in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, outperforming its predecessor.

In the plot, the protagonist Bela (Sheron Menezzes) faces significant legal and personal challenges. After attempting to care for the four children of her late friend Juli, the children are placed in a shelter following an anonymous report. The character Vanessa (Alinne Moraes) is revealed to be behind these actions, including spreading fake news that accuses Bela of child kidnapping to destroy her reputation.

Amidst these conflicts, Bela successfully secures provisional custody of the children. However, the situation escalates when the children flee the shelter, leading to a search involving Gabriel (Thiago Lacerda). Additionally, the narrative features the spiritual presence of Juli, who appears to her children as a guide or angel following her death in a car accident.
