Telewizja Polsat and YouTube announce strategic content partnership

Telewizja Polsat, Poland's largest television broadcaster, has entered into a strategic partnership with YouTube to distribute tens of thousands of hours of programming on the digital platform. The collaboration aims to expand Polsat's reach to new audiences and generations while providing viewers with easier access to a vast library of content across various devices, including smartphones, consoles, and Smart TVs.

The partnership includes popular titles such as “Rodzina zastępcza,” “Taniec z Gwiazdami,” and “Nasz nowy dom.” This digital distribution will run alongside traditional television broadcasts and the broadcaster's own streaming service, Polsat Box Go.

From a business perspective, the deal introduces a new monetization model. Polsat Media will manage the direct sale of video advertisements for its content, offering pre-roll and mid-roll formats to agency clients, while Google manages other video inventory. Piotr Żak, President of Polsat Plus Group and Telewizja Polsat, noted that the station's YouTube channels have already surpassed one billion views this year.
